How It Works

Pig Latin is a joke language that follows three simple rules:
- If the word starts with a consonant, move the consonant to the end of the word and add "ay".
- If the word starts with two consonants, move the consonant cluster to the end of the word and add "ay".
- If the word starts with a vowel, add "-way" to the end of the word.
You can use this to learn Pig Latin or just to be silly.
Some variants of Pig Latin end vowel words with "-yay" or "-hay" instead, which you have the option to do!
