This is a collection of messages used in national or weather emergency alert systems, such as the National Wireless Emergency Alert System.
National Wireless Emergency Alert System
These messages are used by the National Wireless Emergency Alert System (NWEAS) in the United States. Wireless Emergency Alerts are also referred to as WEAs. Messages sent by the US President are labeled Presidential Alerts.

- Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAs) are short emergency messages from authorized federal, state, local, tribal and territorial public alerting authorities that can be broadcast from cell towers to any WEA-enabled mobile devices in a locally targeted area. WEAs can be sent by state and local public safety officials, the National Weather Service, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the FEMA Administrator or the President of the United States.

US State Alerts
These messages are sent out by US states in times of emergency, and can include shelter warnings, curfews, missing persons, and more.
